I read a lot of fashion and gossip magazines, all of which include advertisements for Cover Girl makeup. I rarely pause to look at the advertisements because the photographs and text which accompany the ad do not usually interest me. Today I actually took the time to look over a Cover Girl ad and was slightly surprised to discover that I actually quite liked the photograph. Though the advertisement doesn’t really do too much to promote the product (long lasting lip gloss) the rich pinks, clarity and crispness of the photograph combine to create a fairly stunning image. The perfection of the models skin and lack of wrinkles, puffiness and zits lead me to believe that a significant amount of airbrushing occurred, however; I do like the repetition and boldness of the color pink. I feel that the pink flowers, pink shirt and pink eye shadow create a warm tone within the photograph.
